we have had temporary custody of my 18 month old cousin for 3 months.
The parents will not do the requirements that are mandatory for him to be released into their care but have lawyers which we do not. There is a custody hearing coming up on Feb. the 2nd, which we are not allowed to attend. We have not heard a single word from the DSS caseworker since before Christmas and when we try to contact her she will not return our calls, yet she stays in contact with the childs parents. We have provided a stable, loving household for the child and have never asked nor recieved any help from anyone. We love this child like he is our own and we just want him to get the best care possible. What can we do to make sure this happen? |

I would say that if the social worker isnt returning your calls, you need to call her supervisor and work your way up the chain. I would call twice a day until I had some answers.
Good Luck
