ISO my birthfamily.

i was born on March 6, 1957 in Roper Hospital in Charleston, SC to Barbara Jean Poteat. my name at birth was Elizabeth Jean Taylor although i was nicknamed Libby.

i was told that my birthmom was around 15/16 when she gave birth to me and that from about 1957 - 1959 (at least) that she traveled with a circus/carnival. in 1959 when i was 2, she ended up in the philadelphia, pa and also camden county area of NJ where she put me in a foster home for a bit. i was then given to Eleanor and L. Gordon Wright on st patty's day in 1959. the adoption went thru june or july of that year. she was around 17 at the time so i guess that would make her birth year around 1942.

i also was told that i have a brother who was 9 months old when i was 2 in 1959.

i am not seeking anything from my birth family. my adopted family has all died and all i have left is my three daughters and their children who i love dearly. but there is a need in me to find another person that is related by blood to me. to know who i look like, who i take after. to know what runs in our family.

i have friends that are into searching family trees and traits and it just brings home that i can't do that. sure i could for my adopted family...though it was a small tree since they were both only children of only children. but its not the same thing. searching traits in adopted family does no good as i didn't have any of their traits.
