I have a friend who is a psychiatric nurse in a child psych facility who is interested in becoming a foster mom to a child currently staying at the same facility. The child is ready to go home, but has no home to go to. The nurse manager is giving the nurse a really hard time over this citing conflict of interest. Has anybody else dealt with this before and how did it turn out?

i have a friend who met a child in a hospital where she worked. it was a facility for acute medical care, not psych, but she became licensed as a foster parent with the intent of fostering/and hopefully adopting this child. the child was placed with her, and eventually adopted.
