Any social/case workers in Maryland
I live in Maryland and am interested in adopting. I have a beautiful adopted 2 year old little boy through a private adoption-I have had him since birth. The joys and happiness is just amazing for us. We would love nothing more then to offer another child just so much love...I would like to have a social worker from Maryland pm me. I have some questions that I would love some answers to. I go on the Maryland website and it seems the website is very limited on children. Is there a lot of children in Maryland to adopt? Please I am hopeful a social worker will help me get the needed information...Thank you.

Hi---we don't have very many social workers visiting here, more's the pity. Have you called your local Department of Social Services? They usually have orientation meetings that can answer your questions.
One thing I can tell you is that not every child available for adoption is on a state's photolistings. In our county, for example, we have 270 children in care---and five of them are on the photolisting. So don't think that the photolisting is exhaustive. Maryland has many children in foster care. Some are legally free, some are not legally free yet. Your local DSS will have much more information for you! |
