Question Foster Child Modeling

We currently have a foster child in our home and we were approched about the child modeling for a mag. ad. Is this allowed?
The plan for the child is adoption. We will be the adopting family. I just wanted to know if we were able to do this now or if we had to wait until the child was adopted.
Thanks!

I would check with CW. My bet would be no - unless TPR has happen already.

In Texas there is a rule that no pictures of foster children can be publicized. I would say that the rules will probably be that you must wait until after the adoption.

Definitely check with your CM because it might be entirely possible. Our 3 year old foster (soon to be adopted) daughter was in a magazine photo shoot last year. She didn't receive any compensation but still talks about how much fun it was. We were half way through TPR at that point. The CM had legal submit a court order requesting permission. We also had support from the GAL. It can't hurt to ask.

this actually happened here in WA state. The b-dad was sitting in a doctors office when he saw a pic of his daughter in a mag ad. He flipped out...as well he sould. He was one of those who was getting it together. Anyway, his concern was that the foster parents might be exploiting his daughter for financial gain. When the CW talked to the FP about it they claimed to not know or understand why it was not allowed. It is totally for the safety of the f-child.
