Hi everyone! I'm a 26 y/o single mother of a 9 year old. Due to a dispute with my landlord and the outrageous prices of rent in NY, I've moved back in with my mom after being on my own for the past 10 years. It's only a temporary situation which is supposed to be helping us both out but instead its causing conflict. My mom is a praticing Jehovah's Witness of 20+ years. I however do not share her beliefs. She is constantly oversteping her boundaries as a grandparent. I talk to her and explain that there a certain ways I intend on raising and disciplining my daughter but she feels that she knows better and ignores me. I feel like she's trying to make up for her parenting mistakes with me through my daughter. She thinks she's helping by butting in the already rocky relationship I have with my daughter but she's making things worse. She even gets mad at me sometimes when I try to tell her how I feel. What should I do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
