Nanny

Help, how doyou find a nanny? I am bringing home my infant daughter soon and I need someone to take care of her while I'm at work! I leave at 530 am so I think I will need a part-time live in. Any ideas?

Wanted to say congratulations. Though sorry to say I don't have any nanny ideas - my son is school age and I am having problems finding someone for him. Good luck in your search.

Check out the yellow pages! Also, if your work schedule has you away from home 45 hours or less a week, check out AuPairs. They are live in (being of course from another country) which is really nice when you are alone, my DH was stationed on a ship until our boys were 1.

Are you not able to get time off to bond with your new baby ? Do you not get time off under the family leave act? I imagine this must be so hard concidering leaving you brand new baby with someone else--esspecially so young.

I think word of mouth is one of the better ways to find help. Hopefully you can get your work schedule cut back so you can get that mommying time with your new baby! Congrats,

MJ
