Are Single Adoptive Parents still viewed as "second choice parents"

They are probably not the last choice, but they are way down on the list." Is this true? The book advises that it is better for single parents to try private adoption, for this reason. It also says that I must be willing to accept only a special needs child, and that I will wait longer than most couples for an infant. I have seriously been considering using an agengy for an international adoption. Should I rethink this?

No, your best bet is an international adoption

Check out the Experts Message boards too for Singles

Most single adoptive parents I know who want babies adopt internationally. It is not that difficult.
Come to singles chat on MOnday evening with Cynthia Peck (single mom to 9 kids) and Susan Ward(single mom to Hannah).
