Hi. I am a 29 year old single woman. I am hoping to adopt a baby in a year or two. Ideally, I would love to start the process next summer when I finish grad school, but will probably have to wait a year to earn back some of the money I paid into grad school!

Anyway, I would really like to adopt a baby as young as possible. If given the choice, I would choose a girl, but it wouldn't matter that much as I would love any child!

Reading some of your posts, I am getting the feeling that it IS possible to adopt here in the States and more likely to get a young baby.

Any clues on agencies in the Seattle area that are successful in matching babies with single adoptive mothers?

For those of you who have adopted internationally, how old were your children when they arrived home? I open to adopting from anywhere!
