Single adoption in Cambodia
Hi !
Can anyone tell me if there are restrictions on adoption in Cambodia? I am a woman of 40 years old (live in Europe) and want to adopt as a single mother in Cambodia. Is there anyone who has experience with this country? I've read that only (single) women between 40 and 50 can adopt in Cambodia. From what age are the adoptable children? Thanks for any useful reply!!!

The information I have received from an international adoption agency is that single women can adopt, but you must be between the ages of 25-39 to adopt an infant. Parents over the age of 40 can adopt toddlers & older children.

Your information is a bit what I expected. Do you know also why Cambodia is "closed" now, is it because of the autorities in Cambodia or in the US??? I am living in Belgium and I don't understand why adoption in Cambodia is "closed". Do you know it?
