Talking Gladly joining the rank and file!
I've been following along with the posts of others for @ least 3 yrs...the ups & downs, the joys & ...well, after 3.5 yrs of licensed fost/adopt home, hoping to adopt, beloved foster son returning home after being w me for a year, a failed sibling adoption, a recently failed match, I was matched on Jan 3 to a beautiful 2.5 yr old girl of my prayers! My little bean will be moving in Feb 3! Bio mom has already surrendered & TPR is beginning on bio father. I am happy to say I will officially be apart of the single mommy club!

March 2011 - Homestudy approved/waiting to be matched
August 2011 - Received "the call" for a baby born the night before! Birthmom signed TPR papers 72 hours later
January 2012 - Birthdad's rights terminated
February 2012 - Finalized!

Thank you everyone! TPR for bio father was completed today & my little bean is free & clear! Bean was with me this past weekend & I dropped her off @schol this morning. The transition is going very well, better than I expected.

I know! I'm like a kid on Christmas morning! Really don't have any extra special plans other than begin being a family when she walks through the door. I guess we'll go out for dinner & watch a movie, play with her toys!

Talking 1 week & a day
My little Bean has been with me a week! Overall it has been a good week of transition. When they brought her last Friday, the foster mom came to. Of course she cried when FM left & needed to be comforted. We spoke to the foster family this week & she became weepy afterwards. Not sure how much contact to provide bc she misses them but becomes sad or her sleep is disrupted. On a happier note she does call me mommy and really seems to enjoy our moments of affection, play, sharing meals, and wants me to be there for her. I really love being her mom! And we are good together! Very happy mom here!
