What should we expect now?
Our homestudy is finally complete and we've inquired on some children and sent off homestudies...
I know they have some kind of meeting to match but then what?

2/2003 Bio DD#1 Born 04/2004 Married the love of my life! 05/2004 Started TTC 06/2006 DD#2 Born- My Clomid Miracle 01/2007 Miscarriage  01/2008- 06/2008 2 IVF cycles FAILED 07/2008 Going forward with adoption 11/30/08 Moved to VA 12/08 working on homestudy paperwork 1/4/09 First homestudy visit Fingerprints, background check, autobiography written, questionaire filled out, CPS registry check 1/22/09 Second homestudy visit 2/5/09 Third homestudy visit 3/12/09 Georgia Clearances arrive after 3 months 3/13/09 Saw the rough copy for our homestudy 3/16/09 Sent in corrections to rough copy. 3/16/09 Inquired about "W" 3/18/09 Inquired about "R" 3/20/09 Homestudy completed... 3/24/09 Got more info on W, sent homestudy in... 3/25/09 Inquired about "M" and "D" 3/26/09 Not accepting homestudies for "M" and "D" 3/26/09 Got word of 2 situations babies due in May

From my understanding, the case worker waits until she feels she has enough home studies to send the case to the committee process. I think if the worker likes your home study then you can ask more about the children and get more details before your homestudy gets submitted to the committee. If you want to proceed to committee then they choose several families and the committee narrows it down to one family who can adopt the sibling group.

06/08 - First appointment with private adoption agency 10/08 - Completed foster parent/pre-adoption classes 02/09 - Switched agencies and submitted adoption application with DHS 05/09 - Home study approved and submitted for several waiting children 06/09 - Opened home to foster care placements 06/09 - Chosen to go to committee for a sibling group of 4 08/09 - Not chosen at committee 09/09 - Passed on sibling group of 2 12/09 - Passed on sibling group of 3 Happy Daycare Provider to 5 children: E age 7, Big C age 6, Little C age 3, B age 2, and CJ age 1 Happy foster mom to 1 baby: Frank the Tank, age 10 mon (placed 6/17/09, RU set for Feb. 2010)

I inquired about three cases.
Two single boys in different states and a set of two sisters. I've gotten word back that they aren't taking anymore homestudies for the two girls. And we are submitting our profile for two domestic infant adoptions too.
