Hello,

DH and I are definitely leaning towards a sibling adoption. I hope to learn a few things on this board about what to expect.

Thanks!

Naca and Binny congrats!
I had to read all the posts to get caught up! Would love to hear updates from several of the other posters too. Our fc are siblings and am so glad that they have had each other. There isn't much chance that their birthmom or bd will have more children. I would like to adopt one more, but worry that they will be the only one without a birth sibling connection b/c 5 is my limit. Does anyone have any input on that one?

Thanks and here is my opinion, but I certainly am new to all this.

I would wait until your sibling group is settled and if you still wish for more, discuss it with them and see what they think. If they agree your family isnt complete, I dont see how it would matter too much that it is a singular child. We arent the birth parents, but we birth them with our hearts. They might not be bio siblings (mine wont be) but they will be siblings placed together every bit by God all the same. Just my thoughts.

ICPC has finally been started. I've heard so many horror stories but so far everyone in my state has assured me that they'd have things cleared within a few days of it hitting their office. Let's just hope everyone is on the ball!

Thanks Binny! ICPC was in Austin on Thursday, just hoping it makes it here this week! Everyone assures me that TX really pushes them thru when it's a sibling (we're trying to get our already adopted daughter's full sibling). And no, I haven't met her yet I have seen one picture and she could pass for twins with my daughter (she's 12months older). It's amazing the resemblence We've been told we wont get any contact at all til ICPC is approved

Smile congradulation naca

my husband and i are just getting started with the adoption process and we are very much interested in adopting a sibling group. although i am having a hard time convincing my husband that we should consider adopting children without letting there heritage matter. does anyone have any info or personal stories about adopting children of different races?

Hello!

My name is Crystal-Joy and my husband is Joshua. We are getting ready to start the adoption process here in the near future once we have moved to Oklahoma.

We are very much hoping to be matched with a sibling group! We have no biological children, and are so excited to adopt!

I would love to hear everyone's experience with adopting sibling groups.
