Interesting Coincidence

What are the chances that 3 strangers on a full flight sit in the same row and are all adoptees, adopted a few months old in closed adoptions? Different ages, different nationalities, different genders but all adopteed. All of us grew up in good families and had good feelings about being adopted - it was just the way our families got together and was absolutely the way it should be.

One had met bmom at 13, because amom had wanted to let her know the rest of the story. Bmom died suddenly 6 months later but he is still in contact with 2 much older sisters. I had met both bparents last year, after 50 years. The other man had never searched and didn't think that he would.

It was a very interesting plane flight - and a very interesting coincidence. Just thought I would share.

Jill

Wow that is very interesting, the odds are great never the less that all were adopted. Thanks for sharing this unique experience with us. Best wishes for a happy life.

Wow. I don't believe in coincidences. Who knows. Maybe your meeting was necessary for the man to change his mind about searching. There may be a reason for that.

The longer I live...the more I believe that there are NO coincidences. I think everything happens for a reason. I attend a search & support group in my area and met a birthmother in our group that told the following story. She was a flight attendant..and on one of her flights she saw 3 girls setting together chatting away. Something about the features of one of the girls was making her feel very agitated and rattled. She said that it was making her shakey and unusually clumsy with arranging bags in the overheads etc. She couldn't quit starring..so she went over to the girls and said to them (cheerfully) something to the effect of ..You girls seem like you must be going somewhere fun. To which they informed her that only two of them were traveling together and the other one was going to Disneyworld to work as the Snow White character. She never got her out of her mind. She found her birthdaughter some years later and at their first meeting her bdaughter handed her a photo album...and the first picture she turned to..was a picture of her bdaughter dressed as Snow White working at Disneyworld. Coincidence?? I think not.

Wow and double WOW! You certainly gave me something to consider, but above that I'll take this time to say you're going to make it.
