I was lucky enough to have parents who never hid the fact that I was adopted. I have known since I was 4 years old. I am now 32 with 2 12 year olds, a 10 year old and a 9 year old. My parents were not only wonderfully loving and kind but they gave me no reason to ever feel unwanted or unloved. There in the process of adopting a boy when my mother found out she was pregnant. There was never any disctintion between my brother and I. My parents and I celebrated my adoption day like an extra birthday. They would always call it "Our Anniversary Date" April 24, 1972. They have made wonderful grandparents and continue to be supportive and close to me. I thank God every day that he brought me into the family that he did. To quote what my mother used to always tell me " We didn't get to choose you you got to choose us, thank you for decision, we are always glad that you're here with us."
