Well all the meeting of my birth mother went great for the first time. I will have to let you know about it when I can get my thoughts together.

Here is a picture of my birth mother and I.

It went very well. On Wed my mom and dad and my husband all got to meet my birth mom and my half brother. After meeting we all went and sat by the pool and talked and then we went and ate at a restaurant called the Refuge after that we went to her house and my parents and her did a lot of talking and I talked some. Than she brought desert out. She had my two favorite kinds of ice cream in the house Chocolate mint with chocolate chips and Chocolate chip cookie dough. On Thursday it was just my husband and I and she took us on a tour of the town which took all of 5 minuets. Than I wanted to see the inside of her church and that is a very nice building. I got to meet a couple of her pastors and she introduced us as her friends from Maryland. One pastor did ask about the relation and she said very quietly that I was her birth daughter. Than we went back to her house and I got to get a copy of the lineage of my great grandfather. So that was neat. I also got a picture with my birth grandparents in it and it had Sandy and her brother Gary and a friend of Gary and my birth great aunt and uncle in them.

I gave her a copy of my wedding video and also my school year pictures and I looked just like her when she was little. And some of the things that she does I do. We sound alike and we laugh alike. It is just wild.

I feel blessed to have gotten to meet her and my half brother. And she said we are more than welcome to come and visit anytime. I don’t see them ever coming out to Maryland and since my family lives in Minnesota I will be making once a year trips again and go to Wisconsin to visit her.

I'm leaving in just a couple hours to go to New Orleans for a first f2f with my half-brother. Since I don't have a lucky rabbit's foot (*shudder*) to rub or a four-leafed clover to carry, I'm bumping Sherr's post in hopes of gaining some "Good Brother Meeting Karma"
