Heart I found her!!!!
I finally found my birth mother! I'm so excited. We have talked and everything. We are planning a meeting.

I found her yesterday, and guess what? Today is my birthday. She remembered that too! I am over the moon.....

I am starting a blog on my reunion rollercoaster. I hope that everyone will join me there!

June 12, 2008 - Made initial contact with my birth grandparents
Spoke to Birth Mother for the first time!!!
First meeting was AMAZING!!!!

November 11, 2008 - Found my Bio Dad's myspace

November 12, 2008 - Spoke to him for the first time, and 2 more times.

November 14, 2008 - Found my brother's myspace

November 15, 2008 - Spoke to my brother for the first time!!!
He gave me my sister's myspace! (Have not spoke to her yet.)

10 Siblings (including adoptive sister) - Have yet to find/meet/talk to 5 of them.

Amazing!! I imagine you were somewhere up there on the ceiling and afterwards bouncing off the walls. All in a space of a couple of hours you had spoken to your grandfather, grandmother and mother.....whew!!! that's so fast and soooooo fantastic.
I know you will want to fast-forward this relationship, but can I suggest you try to take it a little slower. Keep talking and learning and finding out important things about yourself and each other but do know that no new relationship can keep going at this pace.
Read a book or two on reunion too. This is really sound reunion advice as most reunions do take a similar path and reading how other reunions have played out will give you an indication of what may be ahead. (Adoption Reunion Survival Guide is really good) Maybe available at a local library.

I don't want to take away from your euphoria now. Revel in it and enjoy every bit of it. I doubt there will be another time you will be so totally emotionally involved in such a short space of time.

I'm just so excited. We've talked already 6 times. She's told me about her past, and the things she's done along with mistakes she's made. She's coming to visit not this Monday but next Monday.

I know it's going pretty fast, but I'm extremely excited. My adoptive mother is as well. We've talked every single day since we've first spoken.

I've also spoke to one of my cousins.

Congratulations on finding your birthmother! How exciting! I know a lot of people say to take it slow, but when my son found me, neither of us wanted to take it slow. We emailed each other numerous times a day and talked on the phone whenever we wanted. We met within 2 weeks of first contact and just kept on going from there. It may not be the way everyone does it, but it worked for us and made us happy. And it's still going strong after 7 yrs. Enjoy it and go at whatever speed makes the two of you happy!

Enjoy every minute!

I've heard the whole first meeting can be akward.. Not for us, thank goodness. Everything went great. Even when we weren't talking there wasn't that akward silence.

My son has decided to call her grandma, and he loves her to death. We're hoping that we can meet again in a month or two.

She went to stay the night with her sister and then she's coming back over here tomorrow!
