Question Need help from Roswell, NM

I was born on 6-26-56 in Paterson, NJ. I know who my birthmother is - she's not receptive to a reunion and she is adamant about not giving up the name of my birthfather.

I was conceived in Roswell, NM - my birth parents were about 20 and 22 years old.I'm pretty sure my birth mother graduated from St. Peters High School. I know she went to Catholic school. If anyone out there is from Roswell, NM and of an age - approximately 70-74 (or whose parents grew up in Roswell of that same age) I would like to share my story in the hopes of finding someone who knew my birthmother and may even remember who she was dating back then.

Any help would be wonderful - I don't know where else to turn

Hi Mara

Yes, we did speak, I responded but I guess it must have gotten lost - anyway, my bmom's name was Patricia (Patsy) Ruth Brackeen. Her half brother is Larry James and her mom was Frances McGee - married Brackeen - married James - married Smith. Her father was Chauncey Earl Brackeen. Her grandmother was Margaret Rebecca Clark McGee Smith.

Her mother Frances Smith died in Roswell in 1995.

Based on my non-id and speaking with a great-aunt here in NJ I don't believe I was conceived through violence. I just think my bmom (with a lot of help from her husband) doesn't want to have to answer questions to her family.

Any help you can give me would be great. I believe my bdad was of Irish descent and was affiliated somehow with the Military school out there.

I hope your another angel sent my way

Faye
