So happy I could burst!
Ok, I posted on these forums quite some time ago, searching for my son, having contact made through the social services agency the adoption went through and hearing that he wasn't sure he was ready.
WELL! This week I got an email that he DID want contact, with ALL of his information and I've written email to him AND gotten a response. It's just the absolute best thing. More than I could have expected. He's had a good life so far, he's happy with his a-parents, and he wants to get to know me.

5-31-07--First email from DD, she's awesome!
10-09-07--Still emailing constantly, hoping for phone call soon!
1-23-08--Got to tell DD happy birthday!! (in an email, but better than nothing!!)
1-24-08--DD signed email "love" (first time!!)

Aww that is just so great. Its a real tonic to get on the website and see that. I remember the absolute ballistic joy of hearing from my son, the email that said "I'm searching for you mom...." - words don't describe the joy. Am so thrilled for you, keep posting your progress and anything else you need to talk about. (((hugs))))) Jannyroo

Congratulations! I just reunited with my daughter after 22 years. She and I are corresponding via snail mail. Maybe someday I will get to finally hold her in my arms.....
