Lost but found!
Wife had been searching for bdaughter born 4/4/86, adopted before we met when she was 19. Went through Hawaii family court system starting in 3/15/06. After letter from court was returned, we were able to hire court-appointed search agent. He found her within 5 minutes, living w/aMom in Va. No phone # listed, so search agent sent letter to current address. AMom returned phone on 8/3/06, as soon as she got the letter. If you can believe, aMom was hoping to reunite daughter with my wife. AMom is single nurse in late 50s and wanted to make sure daughter had opportunity to reunite with bmom. Amom was nurse at hospital where my wife gave birth so she knew my wife's name and had been tracking us as we moved around, but was afraid to call.
Daughter is excited/scared/everwhelmed. She's sent 3 emails w/pics, but my wife really wants to talk to her on the phone, as she isn't good putting her thoughts on paper, but THAT ball's in the daughter's court. She HAS to be ready for that, and right now, she isn't. I guess we'll have to be patient, but we are all thrilled that our work paid off. Total spent: $300 search agent fee, + 3 certified letters.
