Unhappy all of this time with nothing why???????????

i dont understand i have all of the birth info on my husbands sister whom was adopted and now i am being told that the adoptive parents never registered her name as being adopted how is that i thought that everyone whom was adopted had an amended birth certificate where do i turn to now is this possibly a black market situation? someone please help me?

hi, my name is kim and i am a adoptee i can tell you that back in the 60's and though the early 70s they can change informtion on the adoptees birth record if you know the place and the state you can call the adoption place they have something called non-identifing information on file which you by law you can have. if that adoptee is looking for any family members they will give you that information.if i can help please let me know you can email me at rpcutiexoxo@aol.com

SIS, first of all big hugs, this has got to be frustrating for you. I am not sure how that stuff works exactly, but I would look further into that. Who gave you that information? Was it aparents or someone like that who are trying to intentionally mislead you? Or maybe not intentionally. Who knows. If I can help, PM me and let me know.

hi it is sis

i have found the adoption agency but they are closed mouthed the adoption agency is missouri baptist childrens home they let me know i had the right agency and told me that i could write a letter and send it which i did and i still have heard nothing from them my goodness what more can i do i am going crazy here i know that she was born april 27 1971 in kansas city missouri jackson county at florence crittenton aka st lukes hospital somewhere i even have her birth certificate number which i understand does not change in an adoption in missouri so if this look familiar to you please contact me to let me know

Well My Search Has Come To An End. I Found My Husband Sister That Took Me 10 Years But It All Worth The Time It Took. She Is A Wonderful Person. We Hit It Off Right From The Bigging And I Did This Search All On My Own.thanks To Those Of You Who Talked Me Into Not Giving Up.
