Birth Mom Found!
I received a call and email today from my Search Angel (SA) that stated the following:
“just want you to know that the phone call to your birth Mother went beautifully !!!! Cannot wait to tell you all about it. Give me a call at your convenience.” Needless to say, my heart raced as I called my SA back. She told me that my birth mom has been praying that I would make contact. She had almost forgotten when I was born until SA said my birth date. They spoke for over an hour and will be discussing contact times in the near future. In the meantime, I will be working on scanning a bunch of photos to email to my SA so she can relay them to her. bMom will be doing the same. I am so excited and happy that my heart is about to leap out of my chest!

Congratulations!!! and welcome to the roller coaster of reunion! I'm a reunited adoptee for almost 5 years now with my bmom, her husband, bsibs, and extended bfamily. I can say that my reunion has really been one of the most incredible things that has ever happened to me. I found this book particularly helpful in dealing with the ups and downs of reunions... The Adoption Reunion Survival Guide by Julie Jarrel Bailey and Lynn NMA Giddens. My reunion really quieted my soul.. I wish the same for you... good luck! sal

We have exchanged pictures using the SA as an intermediary. Now, I have an email to write. Funny thing ... I was able to get about 4 hours sleep last night after all of this. I thought I was going to be completely useless at work today because of it. Now, I'll likely be completely useless because my excitement level, on a scale of 1-10, is likely 10^100 (that's a googol for those of you not in the know  )!

Reunited with my bsiblings 2002 & 2003. Contact made w/5 of dads 6+ living sibs. Reunited by phone 11/29/2005, F2F 4/29/2006 and 12/02/2006! Bmom deceased 1986. One Bsis deceased 2005. Searching for brother "Richard" born to bmom 1950/1951? Given to a foreman named "Walter" from the factory bmom worked at in NJ. Also, searching for dad's bfather, a widower who couldn't work. (Name unknown, 9 letters. Name sounds Italian does not look Italian.)

I am SO EXCITED for you! Congratulations! I am so delighted that I can share the same joy that you're experiencing as I just found my birth mother and Grampa three weeks ago-feels like an eternity! I wish you so much happiness and for all your dreams to come true as you and your mother make up for lost time and discover new and exciting things about each other.

I apologize for not replying sooner, all! I have been busy with school and work so my attentions have been VERY diverted.
Just so you all will know, bMom and I are talking again. She met with our Intermediary (my SA) and the two of them cleared the air on some thing. I did write a letter that I had the SA read to her. Bmom was touched by it, to say the least. We have essentially reset things at this point and are starting back at square one. Thanks, all, for your concern!
