It was 13 years ago that his daughter's mother, Mary Byrd, allegedly took the girl and fled during a legal battle that was going on over custody of the child. Investigators found the missing girl living with her mother and grandmother in Wilmington last week. Marilyn is now 17 and her mother is facing parental abduction charges. Dodd talked to News4 about the last time he saw his daughter. "We had some ice cream that day and she was given a pocketbook by my wife. I gave her a picture of the both of us together and I said keep this with you at all times, not knowing that was going to be the last time I would see her for 13 years." |
