Foster Child - Rockland Co Dept of Social Svc
I was a placed into foster care at birth through Rockland Co Dept of Social Svc, born at St Johns Riverside Hospital.. Im trying to figure out what the laws are concerning fostering. By law are we entitled to the records from foster care? If so... where do you go, how do you get them?
I wasnt legally adopted till age 4, so all those years I was a foster child.. and although I have some records that my Amom kept, they are just records of visits from the case workers.. there are no names of birthparents on them.. but they do show my birth name. Im wondering if I requested those foster records using my birthname.. would I be allowed to get access to them? or are they all attached because I was adopted later??? please reply here and also email me privately at vonirae2@aol.com Thanks
