private adoption in 1974
i am trying to find out what papers adoptive parents would be given and should have from a private adoption in 1974. all my aparents tell me they have is my ammended birth certificate. i find that hard to believe. any help would be appreciated. thanks

All my parents had was my ammended birth certificate also, so I thought that was normal. I was adopted by my birth mother's aunt and uncle, so I don't know if that made a difference or not.
