I'm trying tohelp my adopted daughter find her biological sister. Her sister was given up for adoption at birth one year prior to my daughter being born and given up for adoption. The birth mother doesn't remember exactly what month she was born. She thinks it was June or July, but she knows it was 1980, in Monroe, LA. We also think we know the hospital. What can we do to get the exact date and possibly find her?

She needs to ask for the non-identifying information on the family that adopted her daughter. They should specify in the paperwork the exact date of her daughter's birth. This information is only available to her, her daughter and the adoptive family (the adoptee and the adoptive family would get information on the birthmother without identifying her).
Also there is a state registry in Louisiana so your daughter should file a sibling waiver with them. Maybe her sister has filed one too and then the state is obligated to reconnect them.

hi just read your ad in the adoption forum. i was searching curious of my birthfamily. i was adopted in louisiana b day july 29 1980 parents lived in lafeyette la
