I am a 31 year old female looking for my birth mother. I was born in Charleston, West Virginia at Charleston Area Medical Center or whatever it was called then. I was born on Nov. 24, 1971. There weren' t many other babies born around that time. I was adopted at 3 days old. The adoption was through a private lawyer. My (adoptive) dad thinks her last name was Lamb and that she attended college and on a spring break or something she went to CA and came back pregnant. I have absolutely no info on my adoptive father. I have blonde hair and dark brown eyes. These traits have carried strongly in my children so i suspect that one of my parents must also look like me. I would like to find her because I would like to find out some medical history. My youngest daughter has a rare condition that I need to know if it is carried in the family. I am also very curious. I am not angry and don't want to disrupt any lives, I just would like to know. If there is anyone out there at all who could help I would appreciate it. Have you tried checking marriage records in your county of birth to see if you can find any women with the last name of Lamb, around the age of your birthmother, who might have married in that area? The married name might lead you to her current location.
