I am a birthmother searching for my son. He was born July 25, 1974 in Ottawa, Ont. He was put up for adoption In Timmins, Ont. I have been searching the different registries on the net for a few months now. Just the other day I went into the site called Adopt:Assistance Information Support. I had 1 match but could not send this adoptee a message. His address was cont2789@mail.humberc.on.ca. This proved to be the Humberg College in Ontario Canada Home Page.How can I get in touch with this person. Can you give me an idea of what to do next. Obviously when I registered my posting so now when you enter the bithdate 07/25/74 and Canada both our matches show up. Why don't you give another source a try while you're waiting for response.
Send a stamped, self addressed envelope (business size) to
International Soundex Reunion Registry (ISRR) at P.O. Box 2312, Carson City, NEV 89702-2312.
They'll send you a registration form to fill in and return.
Upon receipt they'll run a search on their Registry, the largest and most successful in the world. There's a very good chance that the adoptee also listed with ISRR, since it is highly recommended on most of our sites.

Did you check the other on-line registries listed at http://www.reunionregistry.org/regist.htm? If not, do so.
Sometimes a searcher gives up hope for a while and doesn't update the registration; as they discover new registries they continue to post information, using new addresses.

I'm looking for my daughter born Karen Louise on 3-26-51 in Spokane Washington at Booth Memorial Hospital. I know very little about her birth, except that she was jaundiced when she was born. I was 20 years old when she was born. I have been wanting to look for her for many years. I feel she has a right to know of the medical background on my side of the family for breast cancer in that three sisters and I have all had breast cancer - my one sister died from it. Any help I can get would be so appreciated. I want to find her for many reasons. She has a blood brother, age 46 who knows about her.
