So I have been searching for my birth mother or just any information on her. I have sent in my consent for contact a little over a month and a half ago and when I talked to the State of California they had lost my request and told me that they would contact me regarding what to do about it next. Last week I sent a letter to the courts to get any information that they can give me. This waiting period sucks! I knew this would be a long and hard process but I guess I just didnt realize how frustrating it would be. I am not a patient person, God has a lot of work to do in that area of my life! But how do you get through it emotionally? Does anyone have any ideas? What might of helped you in this process and journey?

The waiting *does* suck. (Just so you have some affirmation hehe)

The part of waiting that hurt me most was definitely the 5-day wait for the DNA test result. But waiting is the same, no matter what we're waiting for, right

Wish there was something any one of us could say that would make it all easier. Crazy that we adoptees have to 'wait' to be 'told' who were 'are' !!

Really hope you keep us all posted about how things progress for ya, tawhite. And I really hope you get some movement on this from your state soon. Keep yourself crazy-busy with mind-numbing tasks.... its cliche, but it does 'take the edge off' the waiting-game.
