Heart Looking for advice for search

I've been on here for years, and am still searching, and really just want advice on ideas for where to search, how to search, etc. I've posted this before, but with no responses.

I am an adoptee from Texas (now living in New York). I was adopted at birth, I know my birthmother was 25 or 26, I have the age of my birth father (unmarried), know that he had 4 previous children, my birth mother had no previous children. I have the ages of all my aunts and uncles on both sides. I was born in Jefferson Davis Hospital (there were two, not sure which one) on October 15, 1987, and adopted through Children's Christian Help Fund (now encompassed by Spaulding Int.)

If anyone has any suggestions for how to go about searching, PLEASE let me know. I'm at a point where I don't care if it costs money either, as long as it might get me somewhere. Anything. I mean, I've even messaged every Lisa (my birthmother's *possible* name) of the correct age range within 100 miles of where I was born on MYSPACE, so really I'm willing to try anything.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Can you narrow down the county where the hospital you were born is at? You might be able to try to search the public records of the county that way too.

The Official Harris County, Texas Website

Here's the website for Harris County Texas you could try to explore it to see if they have public records listed on there. If they have their marriage license records online you could see if you can find anyone that matches up to your biomoms name to possible get another name she may have now.

Good Luck.

Do you think your mom was born in Harris county?
I have a membership to Ancestry.com that will expire on the 17th..I searched a liza born in 1962 in harris county and it showed a few.
If you have more info..pm me and I can give you what I found.
I am going to school right now, but I will be home after 10:30
Again, my membership expires on the 17th..but if you want to get a membership you can find LOTS of info.it helped me with my search.

I've posted similar questions, and really not gotten very many responses too. Some say start with getting basic health/biographical data from the state/adoption agency/whatever. Others say post on every registry. Even more suggest searching through local newspapers or libraries where you were born trying to find stuff.

I'm in the same situation. I know fairly little (no names) and don't know where to start. I've read the "FAQs" on various adoption sites, but found little 'meat' that is usuable and direct for someone who doesn't know what else to try.

Well, hopefully experienced folks will reply to this. Good luck. I know how frustrating knowing very little and searching for years is-- I'm the same.
