I need help finding my half sister she was adopted in Pittsburgh, PA and I can't get into sealed records. If you can help, that would be wonderful. I have already gone through getting her original birth certificate through the maternity home and Catholic Charities. Below is the info I was able to find out. You can email me personally @ ASCrowell@comcast.net Thank you so much.

Birth Name: Jacqueline Marie Vaughan

County: Alleghany County
Birth Place: Pittsburgh, PA
Maternity Home: Roselia Foundling and Maternity Hospital AKA Roselia Center through Catholic Charities, Pittsburgh Diocese
Hospital: Pittsburgh Hospital
Birth time: 2:44 AM 7 lbs 11 ounces
Adopted: Unknown
Agency: Baby released on September 28. 1964 to Family and Children’s Services (don’t know if this is the actual name of adoption agency, but that’s the name given)
Birth Mother: Laura Mae Vaughan
Age at Birth: 24 (although some records state age 18)
Age at adoption: 24

We have located and confirmed my husband's birth father but we are having trouble locating the birth mother. My husband was born August 1, 1964 in LA County, CA. His birth father was Lawrence Dale Stahl (he passed away in 2006). We have been in contact with Lawrence's ex wife, who knew about my husband and shared some information with us. According to her, the birth mother's name is Linda King. What we do know for sure about the birth mother, came from the CA Birth Index and the non identifying information: Birth mom's maiden name was Jones, was 22 in 1964 when my husband was born, she was born in Michigan, her parent's were divorced when she was 3 and she was adopted by her step father while she was a child (so we don't know if Jones is her birth name or her step father's name). Her mother was living in Illinois and diagnosed with Adult Onset Diabetes in 1964. Also, the birth mother only had a 9th grade education. She had two older sons (5 and 3 in 1964) with her husband, who she was ONLY separated from when she got pregnant with my husband. After she found out she was pregnant, she reunited with her husband and they decided to give my husband up for adoption. Her husband signed the adoption papers as the "LEGAL" father, but not the natural father. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. We have located Lawrence's sister (he had 2 brothers but they have passed away) and sent her a letter, hoping she might have some info on the birth mother, but to date, she has NOT responded. Also, we have ruled out ANY Kings boys born in California as being either of the older boys that the birth mom had. We have managed to confirm the birth mother and her husband were NOT married in California, they married before going to California.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give us, we have been searching for over 5 years for this info.

bastard nation is a good source of non bias adoptees

I have expirienced searchers whom are not adopted that take our money faster than giving us validation and goodwill I find it hard to believe we can co xist with adoption for money . Bastard nation
