The State of Florida provides for a "Confidential Intermediary Program" which will do a search for your birth parents or relinquished child. To request this service contact the office below:

The Confidential Intermediary Program is a mutual consent contact program. If the person being contacted declines contact the State of Florida will not give you the information to contact that person yourself.

You can also contact the office above and request "non-identifying information" (background information) about the birth parents or the adopting parents of a relinquished child. Another service through the State of Florida is the "Mutual Consent Registry". This is just another method of putting your information out there and letting the person that you are looking for know that you are willing and ready for contact. If both parties fill out the form the State of Florida will try to reunite you through this program also.

What if you do not have the exact date of birth?

i tried doing that today. the adoption agency that i went through closed down, some one told me to call dcf. so i did... they can not find my name or her name in the computer...
