just got a phone call from one of the 'birth family finding' agencys that i gave info to last week in an email. not only were they unwillng to help me but told me that because of my age (21) that i would not be able to afford the cost of a search-- her advice was to join an adoption registry- i said 'hello- ive been here for 4 years!'

im angry that these people think they can say things to you and have no idea what emotions theyre messing with. im not going to trash talk the specific company (although id like to) and embarrass them onthis site. im just gonna say to people like me, dont waste your time/ hopes with these people. you have no idea how fast my heart was beating when i got that phone call-- and only to be told i'm a poor college student who shouldnt waste their time since i cant afford their services.

at least you didn't sink any $$$ into them. I'm old enough to be your mother and they took me for $800+ with lots of verbal promises and no results (of course their written contacts don't make promises)

hang in there, being only 21 you stand a much better chance of your biological parents registering and looking for you.

You just keep on posting on THIS web-site! They are the best! My son just found me through this site last month! He called, I went to meet him and everything went great! If I had not have posted, he would not have found me. I also had registed via their Reunion Registry - see under Reunite on tool bar? Have you done that as well?

I suggest search angels they are great just register on all the sites and someone will help you out.Good Luck .I found my nephew and it didn't cost me a dime ,now I'm a search angel myself.

Don't give up on your dreams of finding them. Searching is filled with lots of up's and down's, but hang in there kiddo im sure you will get lucky one day.
