Did you post in the forum specially made for Wisconsin searchers? That would probably be the best place for you to post.
Good luck! Jamie

Have you tried going to vital records for manitowac and looking up the birthdate? I have found a few people this way. I'm not sure where you are, maybe you don't live close to here. I live in green bay.

You might also want to check out the ICARE registry that assists people in searching in the state of Wisconsin as well as the Adoption Records Search Program P.O. Box 8916 Madison, WI 53708-8916. Good luck in your search... sal

Hi Bittie,
I am searching for a baby brother that was given up in the Green Bay area in 1955-56...you may be able to help me some, I hope. My mother was at a home for unwed mothers called St. Mary's something in 1955 somewhere near Allouez. My older sister, brother and I were at St. Joseph's Orphanage in Allouez for a year during this time, and we also had another younger male sibling in foster care. Would like to find out the name of the home my mother was in and any other information anyone can give me. I know she used an assumed name at this facility. I found my daughter through an intersearch so I hope for good luck in fiinding my lost baby brother. Thanks you in advance for any help you or anyone can give me. |

Hi there. Is there more info you can give me to go from? Are there any possible birthdates? I know of the st mary's home, and i know where allouez is. I used to live there. Also, if you know the birthdates of any siblings? There are several ways that we can go about this, but the easiest way is vital records. We would need a birthdate, or an approximate one. There should be some records as to who was in the home at what time, and by this we may be able to come up with a birthdate if you do not know one. Another way is the newspaper for birth announcement. Please get back to me, and I will see what kind of footwork I can do for you.
