I have no clue what I'm doing, so please bear with me. I recently found out that my mother gave a baby girl up for adoption. She was sexually assulted and out of that came a pregnacy. It wasn't reported to the authorites or anything. My mom's name was Mary Joanne Duncan and she was forced to leave her home at Booneville, AR and go to a maternity home in Jersey City, NJ. She can't remember the name of the home or the hospital in which the baby was born, she was very traumitzed. She wasn't aware that she was being sent there to give her child away! She wasn't allowed phone calls, visitors, etc.. and wasn't even allowed to learn the name of the adoption agency. She was told by the people at the home that she had no choice but to give up her baby. The only thing she can rember is the home was in a residential area, and the hospital was a huge charity/county hospital. There was one kind nurse that was able to sneak the info. to her that the baby was going to a family in Pennsylvania. That's not much to go on, but I thought maybe my sister might be on here searching for us. Please e-mail me if you have any info. that might be useful. My mother told me that the reason it took so long for her to tell me about this was that she was afraid I'd hate her like she hated herself! She's a wonderful women and mother. Please help.
