im trying to find my birth mother Rose Beck & siblings.
I was Baby girl beck born 9/69 in portland Or through Catholic Charities. I was told that at the time of birth, Rose had 3 or 4 other children she had given birth to and that I was the youngest. She was about 30 yrs old at my time of birth in 1969. I also found out she was eitherfrom or born somewhere in Bend oregon. Im also wanting info about the father, which i have none.

Have you gotten your original birth certificate yet? How about your non ID? Have you looked at any marriages with your bmoms maiden name? Would like to help but need more info

yes i recieved my original birth cert. this last month. Where can I look up marraiges without it costing much, if anything?
all the info that was on the cert. i have posted mostly.

Yay You got your OBC Isn't that a really neat thing to hold and read? Yep, when I received mine I felt like I was really born. Weird I know but a very neat thing to hold.

You can go down to Multnomah County courthouse and go through their marriage index or....your library will have access to Ancestry.com but you have to go to the library to use it. Depending on where she is from or living at the time of her marriage.

Also look on genealogy sites, I happen to find my bfathers info on www.rootsweb, it is a free site.

Did you happen to find out your bfathers name to? Mine was not listed but bmom told me

i'll look into those.
I was glad to find out that my birthdate was correct, as I had heard from others that theirs had been altered a little to hide identity.

no birthfathers name was provided. I'll have to get that info if I get lucky enough to get in contact with the mother.

the birth certificate says she lived in Lapine Or, Deshutes Co.
she was 29 yrs old at the time of my birth in 1969.

Ok, Deschutes Co., they have records that go way back, some you can find online for free. Hmmm....it looks like she was born in 1949 if she was 29 at the time of your birth. Have you tried the Oregon state archives? I will see what I can come up with for ya.

This just poped into my head.....the hospital would have some info and your footprints with possibly your bmoms finger print. Have you requested that info yet? Just an idea now that you have your OBC.

i looked on the hospital website,
but i didnt see any services close to the subject.
I'll have to call and ask i suppose.
if she was 29, wouldnt that make her birth year 1939?

i also plan on calling back catholic charities and checking up on the registry that i signed up on years ago.
I want to make sure they still have me on there, and that my info is current.

Hey Cat,
I too looked up the hospital web site that I was born in and it had absolutely no info in that regards. I would call and ask for the record dept., I happened to get a very nice lady and just asked if she could look up baby girl ****** born on ****. It took me calling them to get my records and I also think it is a good idea to get in touch with Catholic Charities again just to update anything and to see if there is anything new there.

You are right about her birthyear, possible 1939-1940 if her age is correct.

You are moving in the right direction, keep plugging away!!

it can get frustrating.
Sometimes i think, out of one birth mother,
and then 4 other siblings at least,
and no one seems to be looking but me.
ill do some phone calls this week and see what turns up

Are you still searching? I know the name is common. I was searching for my cousin Donald Beck. He is 1/2 Japanese on his Moms side. His Dad is George Beck. I noticed a Rose Mary Beck in his Family age 72. She lives in Washington State. I have no idea how shes related to my cousin. I just know it's from his Dad. Here's a link to her profile.
