Were you born in 1936 in SC, if so you could be my mother. I know my ** was of Methodist faith and was divorced from her first husband after 7/23/57 and remarried on 10/3/57 to her second husband who was home on furlough. My ** was 5' 2 and a half inches tall, with light brown natural curly hair and wore glasses. She quit school in the 9th grade. She had 2 brothers, they were both around 6' tall and both very quite in personality, the older one in the Marines and the other one was joining. One born in 1938 and 1939. Her parents lived in the Spartanburg area and they all lived at home. Her father was a machinist and had also farmed. My ** had a girl born in 1954 with brown eyes and blond hair from her first husband. A son born in July 1956 who was also placed for adoption. My ** was 21 at the time I was born. I was born on 11-3-1957 in Spartanburg General Hospital. If this sounds like someone you know, please respond to this post. I have been looking for over 4 years and have run up against a brick wall. I know the story of my adoption and I am not angry, I just want to find my birth family. My adoptive parents were great, but have long since passed away.
