Need help
I am a birth mother trying to get information about agency Called friends of Children. I gave birth to a boy Nov 20th 1991. At the time of adoption my father made me close the adoption but I want it open so that when the time comes if he wants to find me it would be easier. The address that I had for this agency is now a spa and they wrote back saying that it was never a adoption agency. I have been told that some of the children were sold on the black market. I am desperate to find out the truth. Thank you to anyone that can help.

Friends of Children
I would contact the Division of Family and Children Servies (or what ever your state calls) and ask them about this agency.

Amey, while I don't have any information, I would contact the Department of Health. This is who does the adoption registry for our state. Also, didn't you have to sign off on your paternal rights and such, do you have the county in which the adoption took place. The probate court would have records. What a scary thing to think may have happened. Good luck!
