hello everyone..

I have been trying to search for my daughter brittany (which is her adopted name) born 03-25-1987. the agency is no help what is so ever. all i ever get we will call you back and they never do.. i have no clue where to even start looking since i dont think they are in california anymore... it is so frustating.. i just want to know if she is ok and how is she doing.. i know she is graduating this year.. i would love to see what she looks like.. I'm kinda scared, I dont want to disrupt her life in anyway. but just want to know how she is..

thank you.. i hope i can find her too.. if only the agency would help me out.. i have asked for non id info and they wont give it to me..

but your right its a waiting game.. i just want to know she is ok.. i have waiting 18yrs to find out..

Did they give you a reason why?

I believe you have a right to the non identifying info..
There is a legal forum here and adoption lawyers sometime reply.. Or they did in the past..

When I first started looking for my bson I was not strong.. I learned how to be strong and how to do it..
When my bson found me on the net in 1999 the non identifying info was what clinched the deal..
What gave us the absolute proof that we were in a reunion.

You definitely have the right to get a copy of non-identifying info. I got mine through NY State (had to pay $75.) It wasn't a WHOLE lot of info, but more than what I began with. Maybe you got a lazy person?

I talked to this lady that works at the california state adoptions today and i told her what was going on.. and she told me its my right to get the non id info and she was going to call the agency today... ughh i really hate catholic charities right about now.. I just want a picture and just to know she is ok.. Im not trying to disrupt her life but the agency made me feel like that.. so i have to wait till the lady from the state calls me back tommorrow hopefully with some good news..
