Hey Yall
Sorry I'm not here much anymore. I have created a hectic if fulfilling life of working/ living in Biloxi and then getting back to New Olreans on the weekend. I"m glad to hear that you had fun on Vacation Wendy! I'd love one I think. Too bad you got a bill too. Write her back and tell her the statute of limitations is up for that job. haha. Mardi Gras was a blast! I always work it (I'm the facepainter on the corner of St. Pete & Chartres) and had a lot of friends come by and saw many when I quit work for the day. It was awesome! Oh, I actually dressed up this year and many people didn't recognize me. I didn't do anything fancy I just got some stuff to match a pink wig I had. I never wear pink so people were thrown for a loop. LOL. anyway, I was thrown from the horse when she spooked last weekend from the wind in the trees. Ouch! I'd never had that happen before. LOL. I landed on fat so am OK. Here is a picture of Precious (and my friend's mule, Shirley). My daughter, Caitlin is in one of the pics. Hugs all. Maia

I have to agree with Kreily....don't tell him b-mom passed away via e-mail. No matter what kind of walls he's putting up or pretending not to care....this type of message needs to be delivered in person in a caring environment....face to face. Ideally it would be delivered by you but it's not looking like it.
Thru years of searching I have learned a lot of people will sabotage the very thing they have been hoping for....in this case, a reunion. After all, he posted his own info on a site before knowing about you. That leads me to believe he DOES really want to know. Maybe he had hoped to be the one to crack the mystery and you spoiled that by finding him first or maybe in the past 3 yrs since post he decided it wasn't worth the pain or effort a lot of us feel. Send one final email....in the same tone as his ..... and be done with it. He may very well email you back when you least expect. I am not sexist but I think males are definately not as emotional or excited about this as we females are (NO OFFENSE GUYS) My son just proved it to me this week.....my mom ended up in the ER and in the hospital (released today) He asked about her all the time but when it came time to go visit he didn't want to. When I did get him there he couldn't wait to leave. Come to find out he was building a wall in the event his greatest fears (and mine) came true.....that grandma may not come home. I was so proud of him for the caring but madder than heck that he just didn't say something.....but I chalked it up to a guy thing. Good luck and keep us posted on what happens....OK? Hugs back to you, Wendy.
I don't come to the forums as often as I used to. Trying to get my life back to normal although not the same as before I started this journey.

I need help!
I am almost done with my book and I want to use the phrase "You can not find peace until you have found all of the pieces". One of you used that in your signature. Can I please have permission to use that phrase in my book??

Hi Wendy,
That would be me, lol. I personally don't mind, but it's not something I "made up". Don't remember where I saw it originally, it's been so long............ K

Hello? Anyone still here??
Hi everyone!!
It's been a super long time huh!! Have not written my book yet! Maybe by the time I am fifty!! LOL Sending all my pals hugs and wishing Jed a very happy and healthy Birthday! Jed I don't think I have your email anymore... We are moving on the 14th to a new house in Fort Worth. Shannon left UPS and got a new job and that is where they want him, so that is where we are going. We thought about having a child once again we decided again not to. I'm not sure, just not secure enough with myself to have one. Love all my nieces and nephews though! Talk to Karen often still, mostly on email. We're still super glad that I found her. The toerh two, well ya, never did hear back. Their loss, not mine. And I still look for a birth father from time to time but figure I'll meet him or find out who he was on the other side. Better then never knowing!! LOL Sending you all hugs!! And hope that you are all still safe..... ![]()
