June 29, 1986, New Orleans, LA Helping My Daughter Search

My adoptive daughter is 18 and searching for her birthfamily. She was adopted through Volunteers of America in New Orleans. We have written the agency for non-id info, registering with Lousiana Voluntary Registry and International Soundex. Has anyone had experience with petitioning the court to unseal adoption records in Louisiana? Would like to hear about it, as well as other tips you may have.
