Would anyone know where to find information on what maternity homes existed in the state of Iowa during the late 60's (1968)? I was born at the University Hospitals in Iowa City and am trying to find where my mother might have resided while pregnant with me. She was 20 at the time.

I would suggest calling the hospital, ask for social services and inquire with them what maternity might have been in the area during that time. It will probably be best to ask to speak with the eldest social worker. You could also call Catholic Charities and ask them the same questions. Explain you are doing some research for a friend don't mention it's your adoption.
