Growing up, I always asked my aparents if they knew if I had any other siblings. My adad would answer that he wanted to think he recalled something, but couldn't ever say for sure. My amom always said that if there had been a sibling, they would have adopted that one too (*more lip service I found out later) but that no siblings had been mentioned.

Well, I needed to know, and this became the fuel for my search. At the age of 25, upon finding my birth father first, he confirmed that I did indeed have at least one sibling, a sister.

Somewhere deep in my soul I had always felt my sister...my full blood sister, only 10m my junior. We were together for only 6 months...but looking into her eyes and holding her in my arms, we knew we felt the same hurt and confusion.
