It occurred to me that I did learn a couple of other things, too.

I had heard my father had been in the service......what branch I don't know.............yet. But now that I have a social security number I can go to the government site that you can put in the social security number and other information and they will send you copies of their military papers. Did that with my mother and found she was in the Navy, not the Army as I had thought.

Found that Donald and his first wife, Anna, were married in Arizona. Maybe while he was in the service?

Also found that Gerald was born in Michigan. Hope that he was in the service, or they moved around quite a bit! I also know they lived in California before coming back to Lafayette and when he took off with his waitress (who later became his second wife) they went back to California! Think he had a case of "the wanders", how about you?

Heck, no wonder he died young. He couldn't keep everyone and everything straight!!!
