I am searching for my birth brother, who would have been born between 1969 and 1970 in Swainsboro, Georgia. Our birth mother's name was Lillie Marie Jones Collins. We have two older siblings, with whom I have been reunited, and would like to find this missing link in our family chain. All help would be most appreciated.

Do you think that your birth-brother would have been born in 1967? I have a brother who was adopted like me, and he has wondered about his birthfamily. He was born somewhere around Columbus Ga. in August 1967. I know that the adoption was finalized in Columbus but not sure if he was born there. The only thing we know about his mother was that she was still in high school and his father was fixing to go away to be in the service(Air Force, Army, Marines,etc.) I believe they had said that his mom had blonde hair and that his father was very tall. Not sure if any of this sounds close to what you know, but let me know if it sounds matchable. Good luck in your search.

This sibling would have been born after me, and I was born 9/66, so he could have been born in 1967, but my birth mother was 32 when she had me. That information pretty much eliminates a match, but I sure wish it hadn't! Good luck with your search also.

Hi Mary. I wanted to get back with you because the information that I had regarding my brother's birth family was somewhat wrong. I guess I had it mixed up with someone else's situation. I do know that he was born in or around Columbus somewhere in August 1967. The adoption was done in Columbus, Georgia as well. There is a good possibility that this next info is correct: his mother was married and possibly already had children, his father was not her husband, but another man who was going into the service soon, and her husband said that he could not handle raising someone elses baby, so she had to place him up for adoption. One of his parents would have to be tall, because my brother is very tall. Sorry to give you new and different info but our amother told me that the other info was incorrect and that this was more the scenario. Let me know what you think and if it changes anything.
