ADOPTEE RIGHTS? ISO BFAMILY DOB:8-14-1983 in KCMO
I'm 21 now, and still searching, will be sending in my info to the passive registry in a couple days, but we all know that's like pulling the handle on a slot machine. The registry recieves thousands of requests a year from adoptees and birth parents, but there's downwards of only about 500 reunions a year! Obviously it's more passive than we think
And there is no way I'm groveling to the state for my adoption file, let alone trying to finance court costs to have access to oft-taken-for-granted-birthright by non-adoptees to have access to my own identity and genetic heritage, and $50 bucks is definitely out of the question to pay the state for non-id info the agency already gave me! I'm tired of feeling like they can just throw "scraps to the dogs", if dogs come with papers, they should at least give me mine. Oh well, if the information below is familiar please contact me. Or if you know how to help, I would appreciate it. Thanks
