With alot of work and help I found my Bfamily. I just spoke with my Bgrandmother (Granny). We talked for almost 2 hours and she is wonderful. She gave me my Bmom's phone number etc and I will be calling her tomorrow morning. I am just sooo blown away. I found out my Bmom has been trying to find me as well. Her name is Brenda, I have 2 1/2 brothers and 2 1/2 sisters, a whole mess of extended family etc. Everyone is just bursting at the seams. My Bmom is currently in Oklahoma with 1 of my brothers. My other brother and both sisters are less than 45 minutes from me LOL. I am hoping for a f2f with all my family real soon. It's already in the workings LOL. I have to go cry some more. I have been crying for 3 days straight now LOL

Good luck to everyone and I hope everyone finds their answers soon. I finally have a few of mine.

AWESOME! I AM A BIRTH MOTHER WHO HAS BEEN SEARCHING FOR HER BIRTH DAUGHTER FOR 2-1/2 MONTHS. JUST YESTERDAY I RECEIVED HER WEDDING PICTURE. SHE IS NOT READY FOR CONTACT AT THIS TIME. It really did happen fairly quickly, once you got a key bit of information - we from the "Hair Family" are so thrilled for you! You had previously said you didn't think you and your bmom would have a relationship beyond your initial meeting and questions? Are you still feeling the same, now that you know she has been looking for you also? How are you feeling today? I know your emotions are probably overwhelming right now, in fact you may not know how you feel. When I first found out where my birth son was, every day I experienced a different emotion from excitement to guilt to anxious to happy to what-a-horrible-person-I-was, you name it.

I hope your reunion is as sweet as mine was with my son.

I am so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!! When I saw your posting (I was at work.........SHHHHHHHHH, don't tell), I started crying for you and couldn't shut it off. You have achieved what every searching adoptee hopes for. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please keep posting as we are all interested in your reunion. And we all ARE here for you. You guys are just GREAT. Yes we have become quite a family haven't we? The Hair Family LOL sooo coool. Ok UPDATE TIME

I called my mom this morning, my Aunt Ginny (Virgina Ruth) anserwed the phone. She says "Is this really you Virginia Mae" I said "Yes ma'am it is" She burst into tears and says Oh let me wake up your momma, I am your Auntie Ginny and your brother Chris is here to.

Well "Momma" got on the phone and was crying so hard. She says "Oh Baby I missed you so much, I never thought you'd want to find me.. I am your momma and your brother Chris is on the phone to"
Next thing I know I am talking to all 3 of them at the same time LOL. A bunch of tears and laughter. I was told I sound just like my baby sisters. Lets see there was me then after me came Linda then Chris then Patricia, the Virgil JR. Now Patricia is called Pat or Patty and Virgil is called Junior. I'm the oldest. I talked to Chris all day. At one point I asked him how different was I compared to everyone else, he started laughing and said "Oh no Sissy, you're right there.. You have the same personality as the rest of us" Now that kind of blew me away. Then we got to comparing everything LOL. I'm the shortest of us LOL, and we have so much in common it's not even close to funny. I mean even our feet are shaped the same LOL.
Luckily for my brothers and sisters David did not abuse them. I guess he had some sick code of conduct that he didn't terrorize blood. Chris did tell me however that David did beat our Momma alot. David is now currently in prison for child molestation. I didn't even get 1/2 my questions for my mother asked LOL I was too busy crying and listening to her tell me it was a miracle that I finally found home again. She said she tried so hard to get me back but no one would listen and the Judge just ripped me from her. She knew of the abuse I suffered by David but he always did it while she was at work and she couldn't protect me. Everytime she tried to stand up for me he'd beat her down, He never hit me or anything in front of her and always made up excuses about how this or that happened. I was 9 months old when they took me from her. I have to go cry some more LOL Hugs to everyone and much love.

I cannot tell you how happy I am for you. I know how your siblings are feeling right now, since I just found my sister in March and it was confirmed with DNA in April. So, I can tell you that their feet (no matter how oddly shaped, lol) won't be touching the ground for some time to come.

Your Mom said the exact same thing to you that "our" Mom said to my sister. I just have that warm tingling feeling all over. Hearing your story just reminds me (not that I could ever forget) how truly blessed we are.

May everyone find the joy that those of us that have come to the end of our search and the beginning of our relationships find very soon.

Windsong, this is so terrific and exciting. Your emotions can exhaust you so be sure to take a break and relax. I am so happy that your family welcomed you with open arms. I am so excited for you!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!! I read your post on "hair family" and found this on to also include my congradulatins to you and ALL of your family. I know your kids must be excited also at knowing they have aunts, uncles and more cousins. It is truly awesome that you found your family. Maybe oneday soon I'll find all of my b-family also.
