Searching for birth family, name at birth was Jo Ellen Greeley. Born 07/03/50 in Roswell at St. Mary's Hosp. Dr's name was U.S. Marshall and he arranged the adoption. I have 2 older sisters, Teresa and Eleanor, mother's maiden name: Ann Chancy, father's name: Francis Joseph Greeley JR. I have been told I also have younger brother, DOB and name unknown. I would love to meet my family members or maybe even just see pictures. I have a wonderful adoptive family but I m curious about my birth family. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi. We'll try this route for a while... this searching business is emotionally draining. I can only do a little at a time. I was born in Manhattan Polyclinic Hospital on August 17, 1976. According to the info I have, my birth name was Deanna Ryden. My bmother's name was Kathy Ann Ryden. I grew up in Michigan with my aparents. The adoption was a mess, and because there are 2 states and 2 countries involved, I really can't get any good info...

Never give up. I was the same way for 15 years and finally the courts gave in and gave me my consent for adoption. Petition the court in which your adoption took place. Since you have the name of your mom call relatives (anyone with that last name) in the area in which you were born. This is what I found on zabasearch.com. Good luck

The adoption was finalized in Mexico. I have the paperwork. And she was Kathy Ryden 33 years ago, it's probably different now. Private adoptions were not legal in MI back then, so some stuff got buried. And since the whole process didn't happen in NY, they won't give me anything either. It's a pain in the butt... but thanks for the encouragement... If it's meant to happen, it will.

The only thing I know about my birth mom, is she was 18yoa in 1970. She had brown hair, Hazel eyes, she was five foot two inches. She had me at the hospital in North Richland Hills, TX. My father I believe was 19 yoa in college and he was 6"00' blonde hair and blue eyes.

That is really the only thing I know!

Hey there, I too was born in 1970 and after 15 years of searching I found my birthparents. My biggest advice is to petion the courts for the consent for adoption. That will give you the name of your birth mom. After that go to zabasearch.com and look up possible relitives etc... call and ask.. when the time is right it will happen. Good luck
