State of Texas Adoption Registry: The following persons may use the registry: adopted adults age 18 or older, birth parents, and birth siblings age 21 or older. The registry is provided through either the agency or the Texas Department of Health-Bureau of Vital Statistics.

Hi...

Would you happen to know if this could happen in TX in 1961:

A baby is born in El Paso and then adopted in another town. The baby is listed on the new town birth index with his adopted name....

Or would the baby most definately be listed on the El Paso birth index?

The indexes are by county. It would show the adopted name.
