no offence but the chances of you actually coming up with a match like this is very very slim the only way this would work is if you happen to know both of you birthparents blood types. The most common blood type is o positive being that it is the univerdal donor sorry to bust your bubble. i dont want anyone to get their hopes up there are thousands of people out there with the exact same blood type
sorry

JUST FOR FUN.......

I THINK IT IS A NEAT THING TO DO. OF COURSE NOTHING WILL TURN UP ALL KINDS OF MATCHES...I KNOW THAT! ITS JUST ANOTHER... WAY OF CONNECTING WITH EACHOTHER !.....ITS INTERESTING THO! I THOUGHT O- WAS THE UNIVERSAL BLOOD TYPE. THAT IS THE ONE THEY CALLED FOR WHEN THE TWIN TOWERS WENT DOWN!

B RH NEG

I'm-- B RH neg. --I found this out when I was pregant with my daughter. When I told my adopted dad he said "No your not", then was surpised at this information. Appartly RH neg is rare and could have caused my baby to be a hemofelenat(bleeder) I can't spell. And my second born would most likely die a birth. Shots were given to me to prevent this.....Happy searching!

Rh factor is what is positive or neg.. thus A- means the same as A RH - .

I too found out when I was pregnant.... it is pretty common.

I FIND THIS INTERESTING!!

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF: THE MOTHER IS O- AND THE FIRSTBORN IS O+ AND THE SECOND CHILD IS O+ ..THE THIRD CHILD IS O- AND THE 4TH CHILD IS O-... CAN THIS HAPPEN...WITH ALL THE SAME FATHER. BECAUSE THE RH+ CAN GET INTO THE MOTHERS BLOOD....TO MAKE HER AT RISK OF LOSING THE - BABYS?

UMM I don't think so Hair. Here is a chart that explains http://www.genetree.com/about/ABO-calculator.asp

Scroll down and find the +,- chart.

More info on blood types (RH factors are slightly diffrent.)

O is the universal Donor. Anyone can get O blood. However when you inculded the RH factor into it O- is the TRUE universal Donor. If you are just talking blood type then it is O. ANYONE with any blood type or RH factor can recive O- (now mind you their own blood type is best but till they can type your blood O- is what an ER would give you.)

The way it works is like this. People with O can give to any blood type. A can give to A and AB, B can give to B and AB. AB can only give to AB.

Reciving A can recive A or O. B can recived B or O. AB can recive A, B, AB or O. O can only get O. (So AB is the universial recipient not taking in RH factor.)

RH FACTOR - can be given to anyone with + or - RH factors. + can only be given to people with + rh type.

So the TRUE Univeral Donor is O- the true universial recipient is AB+. However when talking univeral Donor and recipent RH factor is not normally talked about.

So now that the basic Blood type lesson is over LOL

DH is A+, I am O+

The kids have never been typed but that means that the kids will all have to be A+ or O+

Jennifer

blood

Hi there, Great post!

Blood experts please explain how A- bmother plus B+ birthfather had O+ child?

Second daughter is A-, as am I and father. We are the A- family! But a nurse told me that in rare cases the second daughter could have been A+ even though we are both A-. Please explain!

Cheers.
